Tbh pak commies however delusional or idiotic they may be, the always talk about pace and bounce and running and intent of fast bowlers. Yes pak cricket is going through a rough patch and producing t20 trundlers galore but this attitude towards fast bowling will make them unearth one or two really good quick bowlers in coming times. While we are lucky we have Bumrah and Shami inspite of the system.

Actually there knowledge is limited to swing, full deliveries, cover drives, achi gendo ka samman etc

These dumpsters dihati ex cricketers even the recently retired ones ,don't know anything beyond that

Natural length of every individual bowler, seam, biomechanics, reverse ,pacing your spells during various junctures of game

These bkls are like automated machines which are programmed to vomit this nonsense since 1934

Its more about ignorance and mediocracy, its a fair knowledge only late swing works in intnl cricket and for that bowler needs to have air speed else it will swing right from the hand.

Ind cricket hyped prabhakar for his big booming swings but once he came into intnl and bowled against them he was treated like nobody because the batter knew where the ball in moving and were already in the position to play that, similar to what happened to I.pathan.

Same thing about the reverse Ind cricketing system treated as some well kept secret that pak team was not sharing but the reality was they all knew , just pak team was better at maintaining the ball(***) and they were fast in air for ball to dip suddenly.

Ind domestic commentators even intnl commentators are v.poor in appreciating the pace and effort the bowlers are putting. They like dibbly dolly bowlers.

And if any intnl bowler plays 1/2 domestic games they keep hyping them even though they are bowling some crap.

The line-length,swing etc and pace is not good was coping mechanism that in now ingrained into ind cricketing system. In the name of pace friendly wkts they have been making swing friendly wkts where sub 125 kmph thrive and the batter who pake around such balls keeps getting out. This does not work in intnl cricket.

Not sure Ind ever had any pacer who could even bowl good line length for a sustain period of time. This all started with Shami and Bhumrah and to some extent Bhuvi.

Pak cricket has better understanding of fast bowling that's why Pak keep producing top class fast bowler, its just that in recent times all Pak cricketing system be it player or the Pcb itself have been inclined towards t20s and do not bother about odis and forget tests. and because of this trend the pak pacers keeps getting injured as they do not have same kind of repetition in domestic or Odi and tests.

When Amir was not picking wkts they were critical of drop in pace same with shaheen these days. they do not come up with form is not there, not pitching at right line-length they know its because of lack of pace. they have same skill set but now just their speeds are down.

Similar thing with Aus their expects asks their bowlers if they still have same speeds as they had before the injury.

Line lengths , swing seam can be taught or learnt over the period of time but speed cant.

Not looking good for Mayank....

Obviously he had a serious injury or maybe even a chronic injury - he has not played since April. But is it?

Look at this...

Does not look good at all - esp what T A Shekhar said about "remodel his action". They are not just working on injury but completely reworking his action. Who knows what will come out of it.

He wasn't pitching the ball full and trying to swing in the air.

they need to give him new ball then..and not bowl 1st change..also their TM may have wanted to use his pae and bounce so could have asked him to bowl little shorter..guess who picked up most wickets..in any case..was he denied the 5th wicket..as it will challange some favoritism..

NCA bought in Bio-mechanics expert think same guy who worked with Cummins or Bhumrah, they might be working on his action to not put much pressure on certain muscle group. It a common thing ever bowler had to tweak their action get it technically corrected as long as he does not lose pace and zip it should be good.

Bowling above 140 kmph requires a lot of things going right else injuries are unavoidable.

May be some1 with better knowledge be able to explain better on this topic

not everybody has to play red ball cricket, let him concetrate on T20s and ODIs if he can.

Frankly speaking, not a single pacer has looked that impressive in Duleep Trophy 1st round.

Lack of red ball games is showing. Almost everyone is looking rusty.

That special something is missing. Especially when the pitch flattens out.

Akashdeep probably the most " ready " among the lot, despite returning from dengue and bowling at less pace.

Ability to bowl in good areas over after over, while hitting the deck hard and staying above 137 k throughout the innings and even when conditions flatten out. Get seam movement consistently.

This is good test match pace bowling.

Something which Bumrah and Shami have done throughout their test careers except Shami in 2014.

Not a single pacer is doing this in this Duleep Trophy. Either the consistent pace is missing or the accuracy is missing or the seam movement is not there.

When did they bring in this expert?  Thing is we need this at an even younger age.

More than 12 years ago Alex Kontouris of Cricket Australia concluded that multi format bowlers were breaking down more often and there was no pattern to these injuries.

They could only recommend drilling in proper bowling technique from a young age(12-13) and restricting workloads until the age of 24

And bowling workload is not just about match bowling

They sometimes bowl 24 balls at high intensity in the nets and nothing more.

I'm not sure how our young pacers are managed.

Even if they aren't playing domestic cricket, are they bowling too much in the nets etc. is something I'm not aware of

Yea in both matches partnership from 6/7 down was after ball got old in first innings and bowlers had no answer.

Arsh bowls 140K and 136K- 2 balls and balls earlier under 132k. pitch has become flatter.

when this guy can bowl at 136 to 140k , why does he need to try to swing too much when the ball is not swinging.

guy is talented but he trundles all the time except for a few balls.

akash --kya line n length hai- perfect. but pace 133k, 136k

he is definitely better than Khaleel and I shall pick akashdeep ahead of Khaleel for sure. i expect akash to bowl faster in Australia...he is bowling like Mcgrath lil short of good length.
