Akash and Harshit are the true heirs of Bumrah,Shami or their backup

Add that he is a useful batsman and is the closest thing to a Shami replacement that we have. 

I think he is definitely on the plane to Australia after this performance, will play the 5 home tests too.

No trundler except for Arshdeep but he is in for that day-night test match. Has the ability to take wickets in bunch in helpful conditions.

Surprising to see Dayal selected ahead of Saini. Saini dismissed Gill twice and scored runs. Feel selectors have considered the left arm angle, but again we need wicket takers.

 

Harshit was disappointing in the second innings, he needs to work on his fitness.

Saini's time is up now, it's an unfortunate fact but true.
We need young fast bowlers, as our main pacers are in 30's, and it takes minimum 2-3 years for pacer to establish themselves as a reliable performer.
Shami, Bumrah debuted at age of 23, Siraj at 24.

bcci needs to realize that its time to wake-up to the fact that there will not be all 3 format players especially fast bowlers. Its just due to the different kind of skill set required in all 3 formats. T20s are way different than Test. Compare it to 100 m dash to marathon. you require different kind of athletes for those 2 events.

 

Else it all always happen that you will lose 1/2 key player due to injury in marquee events.

 

They wasted their time with Mukesh Kumar, Avesh , Unadkat, Thakur, selecting saini for A tours.

7 spell on the trot. Accurate and hitting fairly good speeds with movement.
The delivery to Duckett was dream, was bowling in to the batter with angle and then one delivery nipped away kissing edge of the bat.

Ashwin/Bumrah/Pant are all playing.

Just remembered some posts here - Ashwin  had that complex hip/groin surgery- he will never be at his best.
Pant - reconstructed knee - we should move on from him etc.. We just have to trust modern science and the incredible super natural will of these high performing sportsmen

whats up with Pak fast bowlers are getting injured during the test match or just after 1 test match?

Nt just bowlers who does not have FC exp but also bowlers with FC cricket?? Never seen that happen to any team. there could be 1/2 bowler who are injury prone but the entire lot.
