Happy to see that Harshit is hitting mid 140s easily and regularly. Not just about 140. And he is getting zip, bounce and seam movement. Only weakness is bowling in the first 4 overs with the brand new ball.

I think with the attitude he has shown he will be able to get more tighter in first 4 overs and will develop some seam and swing too..

He will get experience and maturity as he playes more..that will result in improvement..and once he gets this complete feeling that he belomgs to this level.. you will see he is reflecting thst confidence and calmness in batting too..

however most important job is to maintain fitness..and stay major injury free

For new ball, you must have bowlers with the ability to swing like Starc and Steyn or very immaculate with control and bounce like Hazlewood. Hit the deck bowlers are more helpful with the older ball.

think predominantly bringing the ball into batter does not help much unless its coming back too sharply, rourke (nz) had same issue in pak-tri series

Was going through the Mumbai Ranji trophy squad, sad to say that its been a long time since a Mumbai has produced a exciting young fast bowler. In fact after Zaheer we hardly had anyone been in the spotlight. Apart from Yash Thakur none of the seamers in the Ranji Semifinals are up to the mark or a potential India material

yash has also bowled some incisive spells and i feel he should be one who should be backed by GG and agarkar.

few others to get a look in

Yash has too much charbi for a fast bowler.

Charbi to Harshit me bhi hai.

Apne idhar ya to Charbi wale milenge...ya fir sukhi lakdi type ke.

Beech wale gine chune hi hain.

Damn. Just started watching this match from 45th over onwards. The Pakistani bowlers are bowling at 100mph :P Doing the same mistake Indian bowlers of the 90's used to do, bowling short. Too scared to get hit, and thats exactly what they are getting. Bowling around early 80mph. Pathetic.

136 k to 146 k.

Saw atleast 5 balls at 145 k+ with fastest of 146.2 k.

He is proper fast bowler tall, fast, not many bad balls, has some zip, good for test and can be successful in white-ball if adds some variation will be hard to pick due to v.high release point.

Looks like NZ has pivoted to v.tall bowlers - Orourke, Jamison, dufffy, sears and there was another simlly or something

Pak has historically struggled against tall hit the deck fast bowlers.. and ironically we have done well against them inspite of not having many 6'2 bowlers :giggle:

Our issues are swing & nowadays spin.

We usually play bounce well, thats why we generally has been competitive in Australia recently.

This BGT, the deliveries swung more than usual and hence we struggled.
