Pak has historically struggled against tall hit the deck fast bowlers.. and ironically we have done well against them inspite of not having many 6'2 bowlers :giggle:

Harshit was bowling 130 k to 135 k in his first 3 overs.

Why ?

Does he have a niggle ?

141.8 k in his 4th over.

Speeds of 40% of the balls are not being shown though. And he has bowled lots of slower balls.

Complete out fit looked lethargic, fielding was not up-to mark.

Just an observation could be completely wrong but  when ever Ind team tours outside they look like in touristy mood. Do not look completely tuned in to the match.

How did you find/analyze Harshit 's bowling today being his first ICC event game?

Was he showing any nerves?

For past few months since Aus ,I'm not getting opportunity to watch games live, only depending on highlights and this place

Harshit was very calm today and executed, what he wanted to do, in all 4 spells.

Read the pitch rather well too for a newbie. The pitch was sluggish and there was less seam movement available compared to normal Indian venues. But he adjusted well. Bowled lots of slower balls ( maybe a few too many ).

I thought he was bowling slower than usual  (  130 k to 142 k today ) but the quicker BD pacers rarely crossed even 135 k. So it could be a speed gun issue.

Saw very few loose balls.  Bowled fast yorkers, fast bouncers, slower bouncers and normal slower balls at the death.

3 wickets at 4 rpo as a result.

Initial stages, but he looked confident was not playing a top side though.

He has shown that he can make comeback in a game. He is predominantly an in-swing bowler/bringing ball into rh batter so if bowling in pp and ball is lacking the zip he can be expensive and wkt less  in those phases.

Need to work on his fitness, lets see if he can keep hitting deck hard with some pace in odis or not.

Orourke was bit expensive too in the pak-tri series during pp because he is also predominantly an in-swing bowler/bringing ball into rh batter

Yash Thakur picked up some crucial wickets in match against Mumbai, hope selectors noticing that.

Just watched the highlights https://www.hotstar.com/in/sports/cricket/mumbais-struggle-continues-on-day-2/1540038998/video/highlights/watch

Lots of 140+ deliveries. Bowls from close to the stumps with seam movement both ways. Bowled some jaffas and beat Rahane for pace too and trapped him right in front but was a no ball. Looks a lot fitter too @express bowling @Suhaan @singhvivek141 @Lone Wolf @Vickydev
