He's making a calculated guess based on how things have panned out.

Mukesh Legendary Kumar was choosen as all 3 format bowler.

Gambhir has favoured quicker and / or tall pacers among newbies.

 

So Mukesh scenario will hopefully not be repeated.

Harshit dismisses Hetmeyer with a vicious bumper. Hits bat, then helmet and then caught.

 

Bowled a good indipping yorker before that.

 

But he was bowling sbdolute crap before that. Doing do in the last game too. 

 

This is the first quick short ball I have seen ftom him in 4 or 5 games. 

 

He should stop thinking like a medium pacer. He should stop thinking of himself as Slower ball Harshal Patel instead of Fast Harshit Rana.

As long as he only does in T20s. I am ok with it.

Just dont do that in Tests.

Kamboj can only work on an overcast English Morning. He is an accurate trundler but can't bat.

 

This is my only grudge from these trundlers. If you don't have speed, atleast compenstae with decent batting.

 

But no, we always get trundlers like Mukesh or Avesh or Unadkat who are duds with bat. Kamboj is from the same factory.

That's something with Shardul did. Despite being limited in speed and skill with old ball. He added the cushion of batting which allowed him to serve for a long duration.

 

Deepak Chahar too would have done the same, but he was never fit enough to serve long.

Yes, But Shardul is not the same bowler as before and Deepak Chahar isn't fit enough.

Nitish Reddy is more of a batsman.

"Long duration" is subjective. Thakur has played 11 tests.
