Prasidh  143 k channel ball with accuracy.

Follows it up with a fiery bumper.

Follows it up with a 143 k ball that hits Stokes

An accurate 144 k ball next

And a 143 k ball next hits Stokes thigh again.

This is what I want to see from him.

People dont praise Akashdeep much coz they know he single handedly killed the career of few trundlers who were supposed to be accurate.

Again, he wont be a sub 25 bowler...would be a steady operator avging 28-30. But he can be a perfect 3rd pacer and will even push Siraj now to bowl with effort and intensity.

When you have a low average FC pacer who bowls 137 k+ and has red ball fitness, it beguiles me how he is preceded by newbie 130 kph pacers who don't have great skills either.

Akash could have debuted 12 months earlier.

He could have played the games which Mukesh played or maybe alongside him

Same thing they are doing with Harshit, releasing him and Kamboj for Thakur and Prasidh

Simple because he cant bowl yorkers in IPL...which dented his chances.

Selectors anyway dont watch FC except for SF & Finals. Thats why likes of him, Yudhvir, Gurnoor who play for weakers teams and dont perfom well in IPL get no attention.

While Shri Mukesh Kumar ji bowled few yorkers here and there, fooling selectors that he is reincarnation of Lillee, Marshal & McGarth. Became a permanent member of all 3 formats. Some geniuses we have in our selection committee.

It also shows how much IPL Teams are influencing squad selections of Tests and ODIs.

Rahane was re-selected for tests after a couple of IPL knocks and Dhoni's endorsement.

Mukesh, however bad or good, was good in FC for a long time. But he got to play for India after becoming a DC regular.

Sai and Arshdeep, having mediocre FC averages, get in the test squad because they are IPL stars.

Prasidh precedes Harshit in the test squad based on IPL performances.

Sarfraz gets ignored because he is not a IPL regular.

I doubt Karun would have made a comeback in tests if he did not play the IPL.

Sad state of affairs.
