He is not 6'4. But England is a place where trundlers can pick wickets with new ball if they bowl well. Edited July 23, 2025 by rkt.india maniac and tapandrun 2

Kamboj bowled 132 k to 142 k in this IPL. I was going through Hawkeye ball by ball and saw quite a few overs where 2 to 3 balls were at 140 k / 141 k. I expect 127 k to 138 k type speeds in tests from him. Mosher and RAZPOR 2

If he can move the ball around 135 with accuracy, he can do the job. Currently, we have only 2 pacers, Bumrah and Harshit, who can regularly trouble batters with pace in red ball cricket. [ Shami did too till 2023 but unlike to do so any more ]. Siraj may qualify only when he bowls flat out. If extra pace is missing among other pacers, I would rather choose tall, accurate pacers who get a bit of bounce and seam movement. Kamboj would interest me only if he gets bounce from time to time ( like I saw in some of his videos ). He must hit the pitch hard and extract life, even if he is releasing thd ball at an average pace of early 130s. Can't afford to be floaty. Kamboj is around 6'3" or 6'2" and so there is some potential regarding bounce if he puts in the effort. Angling the ball in and seaming the ball away zippily, has been one of the key weapons of Indian pacers. Hope he is good regarding using angles. Mosher and Suhaan 2

Very good bowler but didn't play much for Saf because of Kolpak rule. express bowling 1

Unless a pacer can bowl atleast 135 k to 145 k / 147 k with zip off the deck in tests [ like Bumrah, Shami, Umesh ], pace won't make much difference. Pacers operating in the 130s must have accuracy + either bounce or skid off the deck. Medium height Akashdeep is skiddy. Tall Kamboj must aim for steep bounce and bowl with effort. Hit the deck hard. Otherwise he will be a nothing bowler. Edited July 24, 2025 by express bowling RAZPOR, rollingstoned, Mosher and 1 other 4

In IPl he was bowling mid to high 130s and 1-2 effort ball touching 141-142 kmph. As suggested by others he will be bowling early to mid 130s in tests. They all look similar - Avesh, Mukesh, Anshul. They were billing him as allrounder where he can hardly bat so he has some backing. Looked like a version of Munaf who would be accurate but still bowl some bad balls. express bowling Posted July 24, 2025 Author Posted July 24, 2025 Kamboj has floated the ball up so far. Not bowling with effort. Poor lines too. Mosher and rollingstoned 2
express bowling Posted July 24, 2025 Author Posted July 24, 2025 Bumrah bowling around 7 kph slower than earlier tests. No zip so far. Poor lines too. Mosher 1
