Need high potential bowlers to play FC, but they are mostly benched. `

Pitches loose pace with passage of time and spinners  come into play

So they rather want some medium pacer who can do the formality+edges don't fly to boundaries which is biggest scare for Indian think tank not the batsmen at the crease who can damage their chances even more hard

No clue where to place fielders ,catching positions for bowlers with bit of pace

Pace illiterate Indian cricket population does their fair share of damage

Glad that Indian selectors have moved on from Saini, Mukesh, Avesh and Unadkat.

Khaleel is still in plans thoughs in A matches but its quite clear he won't make it ever.
Shami has also fallen off the radar now and don't think he will get a game now.

The following six are in plans now for next 2-3 years atleast.

Bumrah & Siraj - Elite
Akashdeep & Prasidh - good for red ball
Arshdeep & Harshit- good for white ball

If the selectors have any foresight, they would allow Harshit Rana and Gurnoor Brar to play Ranji Trophy instead of warming the bench in white ball matches.

Let their bodies become used to bowling 20 overs a day and improve their skills too.

Gurnoor is playing I think.. yesterday picked a 3fer... I gotta check today

Edit... Scratch that its Harpreet brar:facepalm:

Team India bowlers, Siraj, Akashdeep, Prasidh and Cool-dip, could not stop the SA-A team batters from chasing down 417 in the 4th innings. And they could pick only 5 wickets. Prasidh picked 2 early wickets though. Akashdeep was very expensive.

Our bowling desperately needs a pacer or two who can pick wickets when the ball is not moving much.

But looks like the previous India A team did best SA A team. I think we should back the team that wins like our Dhoni :-). Bring more spinners in ...or what about Mukesh he has good credentials...

When have our finger spinners done well in flat batting conditions ?

When has Mukesh done well when the ball is not moving ?  He depends on movement even more than Siraj and Akashdeep.

I havent seen the match,.probably they dont put that much effort when conditiins become flatter.. injury prevention..seeing their history..

If they are so scared and want to preserve their fragile, very expensive bodies for only the important matches, why choose them at all??? We could have chosen some new cricketer who wants to prove themselves, give their all ...
