Fiery 2nd spell again by Gurnoor Brar.

He seems to be an older ball master.

Generating so much pace and bounce on a slow 3rd day pitch with a 35+ over old ball.

Plus good accuracy. Attacking the off stump much more than his 1st spell.

Plus there is planning behind his sequence of deliveries.

And getting seam movement both ways regularly.

Dismisses Sonal with a channel ball snorter.  Steep bounce at pace and significant seam movement away from LHB.

If we can find another genuinely fast pacer for the 2 longer formats .... with pace, bounce and skills like Gurnoor Brar .... we can become a very dangerous team.

Need to groom Tarmale, Mayank and Ashok.

If they give him new ball then he can bowl those off stump channel balls as well.

As of now when he comes to bowl they tell him to bowl bouncers mostly.

Same strategy was followed in ODI series in England

Gurnoor has a good outswinger. Much better than Prasidh.

Should be given the new ball.

He is bowling good channel balls even now with the older ball.

But still a higher % of off-stump directed balls and yorkers are needed. Those deliveries can be tried even within a bouncer barrage.

Ashok Sharma -

Among the more serious cases within this group, Ashok Sharma suffered sudden severe strain in his lower back following the third T20I against Zimbabwe on July 26.

After reporting to the Centre of Excellence on July 31, MRI and CT scans of his spine were conducted and reviewed by New Zealand-based spine specialist Dr. Rowan. Results confirmed an acute stress fracture in the left L1 pars interarticularis alongside a fracture in his left 11th rib.

He is currently in the early recovery stage. Sharma requires four weeks of complete rest before a phased strength and conditioning program can begin.

Lets hope he gets fit before Ranji.

Next tours anyway he wasnt gonna feature.

Btw...whats wrong with national team. Players continue to play domestics day in and day out...and then get injured when play for India.

Lower back injury is the worst to have as it will be recurring. Especially if it is a fracture it is not a good news as it has to be managed with utmost care as it can happen again and each time you get worse.

this is seriously disappointing as i was very impressed by Mayank , ashok and even Yash thakur bowled very intelligently and was upto 143 k occassionally.

i was wondering that ashok and mayank would be in line to join the MAIN indian team in t0 and odi's again as zimboks were crushed by these  bowlers and we won the serioes 3-0

is it fair to say that had mayank and ashok flew to england and ireland -1. results could have been different. i mean we lost matches against england and x country bcos our pace attack was not the best picked ..boom was unfit/not played and other pacers did not bowl well OR mayank and ashok could have bowled better than them.

speed experts please comment.

Again i am saying mayank, ashok and yash literally destroyed ZIMBABVE BATSMEN and won us the matches. Mayank was Man of the match in one game.

Zaheer Khan picks India’s most promising pacer: ‘Good that he’s fast-tracked’

Zaheer Khan recently opened up about the steady rise of young fast-bowling options and named Punjab pacer Gurnoor Brar as the most promising seamer of all options.

It’s good to see a young crop of fast bowlers coming through that bowl high speeds. I believe Gurnoor Brar is the one who has the ability to have a good and lengthy career. Its good that he has been fast-tracked. Even when I spent some time with him, I could see exciting potential in him. We have to wait and see how his career materialises eventually, but on potential, he has impressed me the most,”
