express bowling
Saffers bowling medium pace now. Won't work on this slow surface unless there is some misbehaviour from the pitch like ball keeping low. They should try Maharaj. express bowling
Saffer seamers are trying to attack the stumps with a packed leg side field. Doing what India did in Australia. Rabada has got some reverse swing this morning. But Pakistani batters looking comfortable. Mosher 1 Link to comment

SIraj got a fifer in the last test match second innings. I noticed that he bowled a lot of balls between 135 to 142 K in the last Match second innings. he was hurrying up batsman and he is already 10 on 10 on Line n length so he became a big Success. I see Bumrah, Siraj and Shardul playing in the first Test against England with 2 spinners. Ishant may sit on the bench. Siraj could be picked ahead of Ishant. Shardul could play ahead of Hardik as Hardik is not bowling. Link to comment

express bowling
Nortje has included the outswinger in his repertoire. He is focusing on moving the ball too at good enough pace. Will make him a more complete bowler. Mosher 1 Link to comment

I am most eager to watch his line length and Speed in T20 matches ( as he will play T20) as that could suggest if he is focusing to improve his pace or not. As per my best judgement , he can be a T20 bowler for India and if he improves he can play for INDIA in ODI Internationals. I don't see that he should be picked for Tests. express bowling 1 Link to comment

Nikhil_cric
Rabada has still not regained his pace after that stress fracture back in 2018 . Hasnt clocked a single ball at 90 mph and average pace of 135 kph or so. This is what happens when you dont manage the workloads of a young bowler. CSA bowled him into ground in all 3 formats. Rabada did bowl 150+ in IPL, but perhaps not willing to go flat out in Tests. Nortje, whose top speed in IPL was 156 kmph with so many deliveries over 150 kmph, is averaging 140 kmph here with a top speed of 148 kmph, similar speeds to what I have seen Rabada bowl in Tests in SA.
