The delicate English petals have to be protected.

Had Mark woods got IShan Kishan and Kohli...with KL gone off Sam curran, england could have even won this match.

Pitch was not fast, i agree but still a super fast accurate fast over spell by mark woods could have made a big difference.  Ishan was on debut and a superfast attack could definitely get him out. archer gave a leg side ball to ishand and gave him a 4 to start off and then IShan got confident. Though ISHAN was attacking too much and he kinda got lucky. Having said that IShan is very good against bouncers and is a pretty strong batsman like Rishabh.

But it was MOST foolish to Play TOM Currant bowling 125 to 130 K ahead of 147 to 153K Mark woods. Mark wood was bowling with control and if a fast bowler is controlling his line and length and bowling accurately ..no point drooping him.

He used to pull his bowling arm behind his head in his old action ,which twisted his torso, now he isn't doing that ,it will save his back ,but now his action is more open so he is running through the crease instead on jumping.

Pulling arm behind wasn't a problem. He is a side on bowler so it's fine but the problem was with soft backfoot landing and lack of pelvic rotation which led to left lateral flexion leading to back injury.

Bumrah and Shami can bowl as quick as Cummins consistently.

When did that happen. Cummins constantly operates 137 to 145kph in tests and can crank up to 150 kph while shami is most of the time 135 to 143 kph with odd delivery in 145to 146 kph. In recent tour he was quicker than saini, bumrah, shami and as quick as starc

he is not pulling his arm as much in his new action which means his torso is less sideon than before,if he was maintaining his upper body and rotating his lower body to get the alignment then he would be even more sideon that before.

He probably has mixed action right now and the key is to rotate the lower body. If he doesn't, he will again have back injury. His base is still side on, upper body now more front on, same as Nagarkoti.

Shami hits 144 k to 146 k quite frequently, although 147 k+ is very rare except T20s.

In the first 3 tests, Starc was consistently 137 k to 148 k while Cummins was 135 k to 144 k mostly. Not the same pace. And Starc is much quicker in general too.

2020 has been Cummin's quickest year after comeback.

In our 2018-19 tour,  Bumrah was quicker than Cummins both in terms of quickest speed as well as average speed.

Even pacers of similar speeds bowl quicker in different years.

Bumrah recently bowled 140 on average vs England. Him and Shami both can consistently bowl above 140.

As quick as cummo

English rotation policy is the culprit?

Unlike the land of green patriots, India don't rig the speed measuring device. Speed gun I mean.

Aussies seem to do it for their players I feel. Bumrah bowled a hell of a lot quicker than what speed guns showed last time. Batsmen most times were rushed alot.

Lol bro even in India cummins was faster than shami ,bumrah  and even umesh

Bumrah was quicker than Cummins on average in 2018. Shami was just as quick. Bumrah bowled the fastest ball in that series. He was definitely quicker.

Bumrah averaged 137 in first test. 3rd test 139.

Indian frontline bowlers are quick. Period.

Express pacer posted 139 for 3rd test bro. Anyway doesn't matter.

Bumrah is fast when he wants to be. So is Shami. Not much difference between them an Cummins if any.

All can crank it up.
