Umesh and Shardul's stock delivery is the outswinger. Prasidh too can bowl a good outswinger. Bumrah has developed a outswinger and can bowl it when the conditions are helpful like in the 1st innings. Same is the case with Shami. Ishant is the one whose does not bowl the outswinger and bowls the one the straighter one as the variation.

agree with Shardul but Umesh too tends to target the stumps a lot more these days..we need bowlers doing that as thats a frequent mode of dismissal in sena..

In SENA teams need pacers who can bowl the channel and get steep bounce preferably at pace.

None of the Indian pacers in the proper test squad get natural bounce apart from Bumrah to some extent.  (  Ishant does not get much bounce despite being tall ... Siraj and Umesh are skiddy ... Shami gets bounce for his height but is too short to get absolute bounce )

We need a pacer like Prasidh or Tyagi who can get the ball to rear up from time to time. Additionally, Prasidh has a natural outswinger too.

To add to this, in the 1990s we had Srinath and Prasad who used to get steep bounce.

In the 2000s, Munaf got bounce during his first 2 years. To some extent RP Singh too.

In the last 12 years or so, we have not produced any pacer who gets steep bounce till Prasidh debuted.

I was looking at some old videos of Ambrose and Walsh ... and they were picking wickets even when the ball was not moving. This is because of the bounce they got. McGrath did the same.

The Indian pace attack is becoming too dependant on moving the ball to pick wickets. Ball is not moving means no wickets. We have hardly seen any vicious bouncer or rising short ball when the ball is not moving. This happened in the WTC final too.

And it has to be remembered that Ishant is NOT a bounce bowler despite his height. He is more of a swing bowler.

Bumrah gets steep bounce especially when he cranks it up.

2 wickets but 93 runs in the session.

Root may take the game away from us as he is scoring at a SR of 75.

Ashwin becomes crucial in such situations.

He is best spinner in world and currently at that stage of career where he can contribute in any type of condition.

Unlucky to be missed out from this team considering that there are at least 3 cricketers (Pujara, Kohli, Rahane) who don't provide better value in their current form.
