TBH i have never found him good on short length , he is best when he is at good length with new ball coz it moves more n bounces better add to his extra bounce

Once ball gets older his lengths dont work and yea he floats mostly . If u take example when he did well on those lengths pitches wud have had huge role.

I saw his first 6 overs.

Prasidh is down on pace. I wouldn't say that he has become floaty but the extra pace and zip that he usually gets off the deck is down a bit.

But he was very economical in his first spell.

And looks like he has bowled a good enough last spell too.

Only 2 short balls in his 6th over went for 6s. Can happen on a sluggish pitch like this.

What worries me is his fitness ( as you rightly pointed out ).  Not able to bowl full steam in ODIs is not a good sign. What will happen in tests then !!

Watching in the highlights that Siraj bowled a really good 50th over.

Kept nailing accurate and quick yorkers at 140 -- 145 and finished with a sizzling 145 k yorker missed by the batter.

His 8th over was good too where he bowled yorkers, wide yorkers and bouncers.

I will be really happy if Siraj again starts displaying his white ball skills like he did in IPL 2021.

We desperately need another quick bowler with white ball skills spart from Bumrah

We should have picked Umran for these ODIs...  None of our pacers managed to reverse like Joseph.

Selectors are justified if they don't want to select him in T20 WC as of now.  But these meaningless ODI bilaterals could be part of his learning curve.  These West Indian players are not that good vs pace too.

Extremely skillfull bowler, even when not at his best he ll pick wkts. Worth investing ..............line n lengths can be worked easily then increasing skillset

Can't believe the same guy bowled utter tripe in last test match. What happened there?

players will have bad days and different kind of struggles , most players will have a 5 yr peak their whole careers . Rest some or the other problems will always be there

he can bowl **** again n again , those days will happen

I blame our shitty batsmen. Couldn't even bat for *ing 50 *ing overs. Gave bowlers zero rest.

Also fitness helps maintain peak levels. Siraj can Improve his fitness a little bit. Thakur definitely has a lot to improve.

When thakur is fit be hits even 140-143. He bowled consistently between 135-142 in australia. In England he bowled 132-137 in the first few tests. Last test his pace was only 128-134. Huge let down.

Cross seam lengths on flat conditions...  Asking for trouble.  He bowled similarly in SA as well before getting thrashed.

Looks like someone has knocked some sense back into him & he is try ing to bowl more seam up with new ball.

That's why a good coach is crucial. He would identify these issues early.

Pro players don't need much coaching with regards to technique or even fitness. They are mostly already fit and have elite skills. It's about selection. Helping them utilise their skills and showing them how it can be useful in a given situation. That's where a coach comes in. Tactical enhancement.
