Bro, they are using a new SG ball which is having a more pronounced  seam compared to earlier ones. This will help the ball to be hard for longer periods.

Have a feeling England have made a blunder as well by playing Jimmy.  Broad with his leg cutters & all those variations would've been effective.  Missing Umesh already

Bumrah has bowled at an average speed of 138 k in his first spell.

 

That is sharp but on slow pitches he needs to bowl at really high speeds, average of 140 k or more, to get wickets regularly. 

 

Use him in short spells and tell him to go flat out and attack the stumps.

Havent followed the conversation here. But I already dont like the pitch. Looks a dead wicket. Not much on offer for our quicker bowlers! I prefer a lively pitch which gives an edge to quicks atleast on the first and 2nd day.

The batsman is letting the ball come in. Bumrah needs to slip in a quicker one, Will induce a high chance of lbw.

Yes, that was one way to do it. Good try by Bumrah, tried slipping in a yorker. But needs to bowl it real fast for the batsman to make a mistake.

Bumrah 138.9 k yorker ... accurate but the batsman got his bat down in time.

 

Need to bowl them at 145 k + to beat batsmen.

Varying pace seems to be the only way out for quicker bowlers here. Bowl no more than 1 or 2 145ish balls in an over or every alternate over. Need to surprise and shock the batsman. Cant hurry the batsman with a bouncer on this pitch I feel.

Hyderabad should always get a test match.  Best sporting pitch in India for quite a while.  Chennai track is a disgrace.  UAE level.
