OSCARS for the week (Nov 18-24)

Ladies & Gentlemen, I am honored to present this week's Oscar awards. It was an interesting week, which saw several new posters come & go. :hic: Several threads & posters caught our attention. Summary of the categories and the award winners follow: 1) Best Film (Thread): Nominees: a) "Not bad for convicts, hey?" by vroom for its sheer quality. http://indiancricketfans.com/modules.php?name=Forums&file=viewtopic&t=1093 "Lara on 34 hundreds 1 behind Sachin" by dsr A 90 hitter. Missed a well deserved century. Sparked many little, spicy cricket debates/discussions and kept many posters interested. http://indiancricketfans.com/modules.php?name=Forums&file=viewtopic&t=1002 The Winner: (a). Vroom's "Not bad for convicts, hey?". A thread full of quality posts, led by a superb OP, which pretty much set the tone. 2) Best Performance (Post): Nominees: a) Predator for his post on Dravid & Chappell. Predator is making rapid strides on this forum, with his consistent, well thought out, no nonsense posts. This week saw him add yet another gem to the board. Lazy Baztard, as Dhondy would like to call him, Vroom doesnt write as much as others. But when he writes his posts hardly go unnoticed. On a board full of Indian fans, its hard to write something on Ashes & be a post of the week contender. Edged Predator out, at the finish line. 3) Best Comedian (Humous): Shwetabh is the only nominee. No one made any serious attempt. Shwetabh wins for his story on the ex-forum characters. http://indiancricketfans.com/modules.php?name=Forums&file=viewtopic&p=13772&highlight=#13772 4) Best Actor (Posters): Nominees: a) Lurker: Within the short time, he's been on this forum, he has captured everyone's attention with his fact filled, articulate & cogently written posts. Great to have him here. His posts on the General Discussions forum, on Indian Muslims were very well researched & of masterful perspective Dhondy: All I need to say about Dhondy is, he is Dhondy. Every knows what he is capable of. Once again, his posts on General Discussions forum, on similar topics as Lurker, has made him this week's nominee. Winner: We got joint winners. I couldnt pick one. These are special awards merited by special situations. It would be a shame if these folks werent recognized, for events like these dont happen every week. 5) Special awards: 007 of the week: Ravi, the resident 007, pulled a "Dr. No", on two distinct occasions, denying the naysayers, saving this site from, "The spy who spammed me" (who put Mohd Ghazni to shame) and "The Goat with the Golden Beedi" (trolling as 3 diff ids). Great job Ravi. Goat of the week: The picture says it all. The goat trolling with three different ids, put back in its place. If you are a propah beedi smokin goat, surely this is not the way to disguise yourself. Thats all folks. Thanks for all your contributions.
