I really believe the new pay structure for indian players will help us win more matches. As there is no A group, B group etc. All players wether in the team for 10 years or 1 day will get the same per game, this will bring equality. The best thing is they will now be paid a bonus paid purely on the teams success. If we win they get paid more and if we lose they get paid less. Seeing as they seem to be motivated by money this may bring more success and team unity, as evryone will have the same goal.

Re: New pay structure will help. as long as the goal of achieving even more lucrative ad contracts is reached, all this pay structure stuff is useless. paltry sums compared to what the Pepsis and Kingfishers are ready to pay them.

Re: New pay structure will help. It still may help a bit. I know were you are coming from though. There was a widely reported story of one player who had a sponsorship contract which paid him more if he stayed longer at the crease, not dependant on runs scored or strike rate. Some think it may have explained his poor/slow batting. However BCCI I going to vet all sponsorship contracts now to try and stop these types of contacts. Wether they actually follow it through is another matter!
