Misu243 Posted July 19, 2011 Share Posted July 19, 2011 Hey fellas, I just saw a news story on this vessel hijacked by Somali pirates over a year ago. Indian and Pakistani sailors are on board. One of the sailor's parents are literally begging to come up with the ransom money themselves. The Dubai based company that owns the vessel has been nonexistent and is doing nothing to help them. What sort of government do we have that doesn't even care about its citizens? We're only going to be known as an "emerging market economy" if things like this persist. My question to you all is, what can we do especially us who live outside of India to raise awareness of this hijacked vessel? Is there anyway we can get it to trend on twitter or something? Any way to contact Indian government? Surely someone out there must be capable of coming up with this ransom money. Maybe bollywood can come together or even one of the Ambani's can help if our government isn't willing to. Only thing is that they should be made aware of this. Thx.
