So after India got the hiding of the century last week in England, the BCCI has come up with the perfect solution to all its problems - Make even more money. Maybe the plan is to buy Anderson and Broad, and maybe Steyn (English Premier League, anyone?). While Indian batsmen have struggled to reach 300 in an innings, the honorable Mr. Srinivasan has been busy running complex statistical models to determine the reserve price for mobile and internet rights, which has been set at 3 crore per match. Mumbai: The Indian Cricket Board (BCCI) has targeted at least Rs 240 crore income from the sale of its internet and mobile rights for Tests, ODIs and T20s it is to host for the next 30 months. The Board on Tuesday set Rs three crore as reserve price for Mobile and Internet Rights for every Test, ODI and Twenty20 international that it will organise between October 2011 to March 2014. The decision was taken after a meeting of BCCI's Marketing Committee at the Cricket Centre here to finalise the tendering process for these rights for the Board's International and Domestic series/tournaments. "The Reserve Price for the rights is set at 3 crores per match (Test / ODI / T20 International)," BCCI secretary and president-elect N Srinivasan said in a release. The BCCI is scheduled to host 17 Tests, 29 ODIs and two T20 Internationals during the period for which the rights would be given. At the base price of Rs 3 crore per match that the Board has set for the rights, it works out to a hefty Rs 240 crore. The Test matches include a series against arch-rivals Pakistan too, to be held in March-April next year, as per the International Cricket Council's Future Tours Programme. BCCI is also set to host big teams Australia and England for four Tests, seven ODIs and one T20 international apiece between October this year and October, 2013.
