Sir john Posted March 24, 2012 Share Posted March 24, 2012 He has always shied away from commenting on his wedding plans, but cricketer Yusuf Pathan, 29, has finally taken the plunge and will get engaged today. The all-rounder will get engaged to Mumbai girl Afreen, a physiotherapist in Vadodara. The ceremony was earlier slated for June, Click Here! but the families met on Thursday and decided to organise the engagement today. Yusuf and brother, cricketer Irfan Pathan, were reportedly not present during the meeting and the family members took the call. The wedding is expected to take place later this year. Yusuf, however, remains elusive to media queries even now. “Someone said I’m married!! he texted us with a wide-grinned smiley, when we asked him to confirm the reports. In a recent interview, brother Irfan said, "There are no marriages in the family anytime soon,". In January, Yusuf had told HT City, "My family will decide when I will get married." The cricketer was once asked about his ideal girl, and he had said, "Someone who can cook delicious food."
