In a freewheeling interview with CNN-IBN, Kapil was quick to point at Virat as the most exciting thing to have happened to Indian cricket in the past decade. However, India's best allrounder did add a rider to his statement thanks to the Indian Test captain's infamous off-field antics. ALSO SEE Do India need Kohli as captain? "I think Virat Kohli is a very, very exciting cricketer," Kapil said. "He has the ability and talent as long as he keeps his head in the right place. I think he can break anybody's record." Kohli's form has been central to the transition period India went through after the exit of stalwarts like Sachin Tendulkar, Rahul Dravid, Sourav Ganguly, VVS Laxman and Anil Kumble. Whether it's the finger salute towards the crowd in Australia, the tiff with a journalist at the World Cup or the mid-match IPL date with girlfriend Anushka Sharma, Kohli has always managed to stay in the news for the good as well as wrong reasons. "He has the ability. But sometimes, when you are very aggressive, you forget the right road, which is the best road for you. But I think he is a cricketer to watch. What ability and talent he has!"
