PaiN_KiLLeR
Though the only time I saw him play 'live' was back in 1992, the more I see & read about him, the more I'm convinced he was the most complete cricketer to set foot on the field! Link to comment

Delhidaredevils
My Hero is MSD for a simple fact that he captained India to a Victory In Ass-tralia. Beating Aus in Aus takes something ... MSD is top man ... yeah but I have a few more cricketers whose game is more preferred than MSDs. Example ma home boy Viru and then Sachin and then Dada and then Yuvi and of the recent ones Shikhar and Yusuf Link to comment

amits
And when he did' date=' all he could do was achieve an ordinary average if 43?[/quote'] a avg of 43 is not ordinary & it is less bcoz of the fact that laxman was forced to open early in his career. also, laxman has played more match-winning innings in recent times in tests than what everyones favs ganguly, dravid & tendulkar have Link to comment
Lurker
Easy. Kapil Dev. Great bowler. Check. Great batsman. Check. Great fielder. Check. Won India's only World Cup. Check. Link to comment

Dont go by his average go by what hes done and what hes achieve.Because he wanted to be in the indian team being a middle order batsmen selfish selectors put him as an opener but Laxman being who is decided to return to domestic cricket and scored a massive 353 and was the leading run getter that year in domestic ranji trophy cricket. Pure Perfomance No fuss people dont understand that they are blind. Laxman is a great player who within the last decade has scored in almost every famous victory India has won. So haters please dont talk we all know Laxman is great or was capable of being great he was greatly pressed down by selectors and his so called "captains" Link to comment

I don't think batting with tail is easy. Also, he was never a permanent member in the Indian team. His avg at No.3 is much better (48.33) than his career avg. Link to comment
