Re: Woolmer murdered: Jamaican police sources Woolmer strangled? Pak team gets permission to leave However, Powell said that significantly Pervez Mir, the Pakistan team?s media manager said the team had been given permission to leave the West Indies. ?The Pakista team is expected to leave tomorrow from the hotel where they are in, onward to London for their respective homes. However he (Mir) says that if the situation arises that any member of the team has to stay back, it will be himself and some from his team management. So it wouldn't be that the entire team would have to stay behind,? said Powell. Woolmer, 58, was found unconscious in his hotel room on Sunday and was pronounced dead at a local hospital, a day after Pakistan was beaten by Ireland that knocked the former champions out of this year's World Cup. It has been revealed that there was blood and vomit in the room and Woolmer was found by hotel staff on the floor with his mouth wide open. The preliminary autopsy on Woolmer has proved inconclusive. Meanwhile, two days after TIMES NOW broke the story that there was a definite murder angle to Bob Woolmer's mysterious death, new leads indicate that someone close to Woolmer could have been behind a possible attack. Latest leads What happened to Bob Woolmer and how did he die? As authorities in Jamaica carry out detailed investigations into what happened, new sensational leads indicate that there is a strong possibility that the Pakistani coach might have been attacked and possibly killed by someone close to him. ?Two marks were found on the throat of Bob Woolmer when he was discovered in the bathroom in pools of blood and vomit, and the most interesting part that some of the policemen are saying is that the vomit was found in unusually high places on the wall and that is probably one of the reasons that they are suspecting that there could have been a struggle before Bob Woolmer died, which clearly points that there might have been an assailant in the room,? reported TIMES NOW Sports editor Faisal Shariff from Jamaica on Wednesday (March 21). Shariff also said that there was no tampering of the door of Woolmer's room, which indicates that if there was an assailant he was known to Woolmer. -------------------------------------------------------------------- You can read the news about Woolmer from beginning to now by clicking on this link!

Re: Woolmer murdered: Jamaican police sources According to the police officer, the 58-year-old Woolmer was found half naked in his room, partially wrapped in a towel. "A bone in the neck, near the glands, was broken, and this suggests that somebody might have put some pressure on it," the officer told The Gleaner. "We are now treating this as a homicide."
