Don
Re: Is it time to introduce P Chawla to the ODI set up? I used to be his biggest supporter' date=' but his bowling has fallen drastially while his batting has gone up. we need a spinner not batsman[/quote'] When did you see him bowling, BTW? Don't tell me you're talking about England test one year back? Sorry boss didnt see ur post till now. I've been following him quite closely over the last two years. I dont know if you know that i wrote a article on him on the ex-icf. I was really really excited about him after his exploits in challenger trophy. However in the last ranji trophy, his bowling genuinely lacked bite. He was bowling long spells without any fruit. Any half good batsman in Indian cricket was able to identify and resist his STOCK delivery which is the GOOGLY. It may get him a ton of wickets in u19 cricket where players are inexperienced and raw but it aint gonna get him nowhere in International arena. Piyush needs to evolve further to step into Kumble's shoes. Link to comment
Chandan
Re: Is it time to introduce P Chawla to the ODI set up? Yes. This season I've watched many games. Last year it was not so. We could only watch the Challengers but this year, a number of Ranji matches and Deodhar Trophy matches. Link to comment
