Garlic or Ginger...etc... But overall the PURCHASING power of the aam aadmi is goin UP...big time... Another interview was with a college age kid and she was saying... I buy all the vegetables for my family and last year tomatoes were Rs. 10/kg now they are Rs. 20... but we still buy the same amount... You can find a legally sold (no black market ie) mobile phone in Chaandi Chowk for 1500 rupees. Rates like 1 rupee/min roaming all over India - seriously, as ironic it is, mobile phones are more affordable in India than in the west for the really poor.
