In the last tournament in pakistan, when India and pakistan played in an odi.. Sehwag commented how he felt like he was playing for security guards and no crowd was there. Even in an India-Pak match. You think public would like to spend money and travel to India to watch their team play? There were 15000 Pakistan fans from Karachi and Lahore in the match against Australia in Colombo. Pakistan finished Top of their group so we should have the chance to pick where we want to play. This is a cheap ICC Money grabbing ploy. If anything, 50% of tickets should go to PCB, so they should sell in Pakistan. You first need a home for you to talk advantage. Last time you had the "home advantage" you guys lost your (right to play at) home. This time you are only losing your advantage. You could have still had the home advantage against the WI @ Mirupur, but you lost that as well few decades ago :-) Pakistan may have topped Group A, but Group A is significantly weaker than Group B. So even if the basis for your argument is performance in the world cup, there is no fair way to reward a team here. Link to comment
