England's Swann given all clear after hand injury http://bit.ly/q5EpDc

NOTTINGHAM, England — England's Graeme Swann was passed fit following an X-ray after being struck on the hand while batting against India on the first day of the second Test at Trent Bridge here on Friday. Swann, on his Nottinghamshire home ground, had made a valuable 28 when he was out after being struck on the left hand by a rising ball from Praveen Kumar he could only glove to Abhinav Mukund at third slip. A visibly pained Swann, who had helped county colleague Stuart Broad add 73 for the ninth wicket at better than a run-ball, walked off, although the one consolation for England is that the off-spinner is a right-arm bowler. And an England statement said the X-ray had found "no significant damage" to and that Swann, due to be re-assessed on Saturday, was "expected to bowl". England were dismissed for 221 and ended the first day 197 runs in front as India closed on 24 for one. The hosts lead this four-match series 1-0 after a 196-run win in the first Test at Lord's.
It would have been fun if England were to lose a bowler.
