Donny Posted July 22, 2007 Share Posted July 22, 2007 Spot on Simba. The whole mental attitude of the Indian cricket team seems to be sadly lacking. RD's body language, in the field, is a disaster, for a start. It's similar to Lara's who often looked like he'd wet his pants. The other players need to be able to look to their captain and get a boost, especially the youngsters. As for the 'fantastic four', I'm afraid they miss the point. Sometimes you must risk getting out by attempting to take command instead of always digging in and grinding out runs. Batsmen like RD (and Sach over recent years) are valid but unless they have fluent strokeplayers around them, the batting successes, on a team level, will be infrequent. Link to comment
