Glenn Maxwell not selected for Pak tests

This is some totally bewildering selection policy by Aussies. Maxwell is not some next bradman but the way his case was mishandled feels so fishy

 

1. First he was not allowed to play county cricket citing that he should be ready for Aus A tour of India

2. Next he is not selected for Aus A and selectors say that we already know he plays well in sub-continent. Any sane person would conclude from this that this is sureshot guarantee that he is almost sure to be in team going to UAE

3. He is not selected and the selectors give Aus A tour performances for giving reasons for selecting others. One guy is selected after just one 50 in the entire tour. 

4. Last Maxwell played FC cricket was in Aus last season where he did very well. 

5. Langer gives lack of 100s a reason when others have fewer 100s than him. What is the point of counting 100s in short form when a guy is playing in a finisher's role.
