Inzamam's only fault is that he does not have the mental acumen or courage to change the faulty institution that he is a part of. It will take a HUGE undertaking to reform Pak. cricket (just as it has taken/is taking to reform the retarded Indian perspective on why fast-bowling is crucial). So Inzy's not a great leader. That's not his fault. He tried to make the most out of his abilities. What improvements has Guru Imran made to Pak. cricket????

Imran created Pakistani cricket, their brand and their reputation and he has the most right than anyone else in their country to feel hurt and question everyone involved..... we go orgasmic at Dada's achievements attributing more than even necessary to him.... Imran was not jus a captain, he was the entire cricketing structure of Pakistan.... captain, bowler, batter, selector, administrator.....

Yes, I know that. He was the Pak team--he prospected, selected and led players. But, ... ... ... what CHANGES to the institution of Pak. cricket did he leave behind???? After he was gone ... the same shyte cropped back up again, no?? That's the problem. Not just Inzamam. It's the structure. Not having a strong and competitive domestic structure is more of a cause of failure than Inzy's fat-a$$. Has Imran succeded in setting one up? Anyway, ... for now, ... ... Am sure given his clout, all he needs to do is, express interest and the position of PCB chair will be his. But he wont, why take up a contraversial job & spoil his legacy ? The PCB chair is appointed by none other than the dictator of pakistan, Mushy.... do u think, he will make imran the chair, after they have been at loggerhead for the past few years, especially wen imran insulted him by turning down the pm post.... secondly, wen did someone have to assume a position of power to criticize the team, he is supporting.... Imran built that team, legacy and reputation and everything about pakistani cricket.... why should he not be upset, wen he sees it go down the drain....

Apparently the same Mushy offered him the Prime Minister post, that Imran turned down. As much a dictator he is, Mushy will have to face the entire nation's wrath, if Imran openly expresses intent to head the PCB & Mushy decides not to appoint him.

Every cricketing nation has proud greats. We have Kapil, Gavaskar, Mohinder etc. But they dont go on like a broken record, giving out interviews every month, criticising the captain & the coach at everything they do. Unlike a Gavaskar, who has media & ICC commitments, Imran, is only a politician. He can contribute a lot more to Pakistani cricket, by assuming a responsible position in the PCB, if he wants to.
