parasarora1310
Sourav Ganguly is certain to miss India's second One-Dayer against Australia in Kochi on Tuesday, the BCCI said on Sunday. Ganguly strained his hamstring during the opening One-Dayer in Bangalore on Saturday, which was abandoned because of rain. "An MRI scan was performed on Sourav's right hamstring this morning and it has determined no injury to the region," BCCI Secretary Niranjan Shah said in a statement on Saturday. Ganguly looked in trouble while fielding against Australia, and wasn't able to come to bat at No. 3 after the dismissal of Sachin Tendulkar. Irfan Pathan, instead, was seen taking that position. The team management has decided not to risk Ganguly which will give him adequate time to recover. "Based on the findings, vigorous rehab approach will be commencing immediately. On report of team physio John Gloster and other analysis, the team management feels that Sourav will progress quickly and hence it was decided to give one game rest," the statement added. Dooks
Thank You Lord !! I think Dada is goner now from ODIs. If his replacement does well then Dada will be 'rested' for a long time and then he will retire from ODIs. As it is, the rumblings are that Dada is going to announce his retirement from ODI after this series. Link to comment
