Now, there is a lull in the probe. Anyone know anything more? Thanks!
Desi Cartman Posted December 24, 2008 Posted December 24, 2008 he was killed by Kasab and his buddy and yes he was investigating Malegoen blasts as well ... which any Anti terror squad chief would be ... so he was supposed to be investigating the blasts and he was also supposed to act when mumbai attack happend. He got killed and so did other policemen who were not investigating malegoan blats .. I hope this helps

In the meantime, I have been trying to catch up with the Malegaon happenings, too - for the first time, I realized that it is a SIMI stronghold, and a communal hotbed. Tells you how little I have kept up with things going on in India. One more question - The initial reports coming out on Nov 26 suggested that the terrorists were exchanging congratulatory messages after killing Karkare. How did they know it was him that they got? Add to it the context that (a) Karkare had just spoken with RR Patil, (b) 3 top officers all went to the same place at the same time (a strategic blunder in hindsight), and I just cannot get it out of my mind that they were somehow set up. It's like a frikkin' movie, and I am waiting for the end. Please understand that I am not arguing with you - am just venting my frustrations. A month later, I still spend sleepless nights thinking about these brave men. The repeated footage that HT and AajTak showed of Karkare wearing his "vest," picking a piddly little pistol and walking to his death ... it was just too real ..... too disturbing.

Thanks![/quote'] There is no lull in probe karkare didn;t have crystal ball I belive everything goes into writing and anyone can advance the probe.. I know he is dead but the day he forwarded samjhuata express was doen by colonel and next day had to take u tunr in face of evidence to contraray karkare lost credibility in my view......... they sounded like masala news channel every day coming with this or that reevelation without bothering to substatinate it.. I am told few more army officer have been questioned.. rest assured if this is not political muck raking then karkare or no karkare sthg will come out of it..

In fact as per ATS blowing up SIMI office was the intention.. I know innocent bystanders ended up dying but I have no problem with the idea of blowing up SIMI offices.. It's a banned outfit yet they keep running their show from pockets where police can't enter and Malegaon is one such pocket.. PS: If I could I would blow up all simi offices in india
