Chandan
I am beginning to wonder, from here, what would be considered acceptable standards of umpiring ? What if the umpire gets it all right and ends the match with 3 crucial howlers ? Does he get punished ? or stays for his 87 overs of excellence ? This is a dangerous precedent that is being set here, and though there is absolutely no defense for mediocre umpiring, ICC has sent all sorts of mixed signals by removing Bucknor. Don't think so. Bucknor had been hurting India since more than last 5 years. This Sydney test was merely the last straw for him as he refused to get his decisions correct (deliberately or otherwise) against India. Indian board should have protested much earlier that they would not accept Bucknor as an umpire because his bad decisions would be looked at suspiciously. But you can bet your money on BCCI to mess things up. Likewise, Hair had a terrible relation with Pakistan team and the Oval test was merely the last straw. Link to comment
King
I'd be glad when he's dropped from the panel. His contract for renewal is coming up in the month of March and I don't reckon his contract is going to be extended. Link to comment
Donny
I would hereby like to know if anyone can provide a straight answer as to why the umpires are to be treated so preciously ? Straight answer no beating around the bush. YES, SIR!! Link to comment

kilroy
Still wallowing, folks ? I can assure you, there's only one thing on the Aussies' minds - Perth. you mean to say what ever is posted here, reflects what's on Indian players minds ? :(( Link to comment
bunny
Apart from the horrendous ones (not calling for the third umpire, not hearing the nick and seeing a false nick) Bucknor also missed 2-3 plumb lbws. And apart from these there was not a single appeal were a county level umpire would have faced any problems. So I'd say he was more like 0-6 rather than 33-35. Benson was worse, but Bucknor had been screwing us for a while. Link to comment
Guest dada_rocks
See missing plumb LBWS and giving marginal ones all in favour of certain teams is the usual crap this buffon delivers so no surprise that he thinks there was nothing wrong with those decisions.. Link to comment
