Very important development in Indo-Israeli relationship to begin with. Firstly, this launch was scheduled a month back, however, as usual, under Unkil's pressure our dhimmi puppet PM, MMS bent backward and delayed it. I can understand why Unkil is p!$$ed considering NASA has got a real competitor in ISRO :dance:in launching medium weight stellites in near earth orbits at very minimum cost. heartfelt congratulations to ISRO scientists....:hatsoff:...these Indian scientists and Engineers are delivering time and again inspite of several difficulties like Low Salary, babudom in GOI, technology denials by westerners and continuous poaching of scientists by European and American space agencies through their lucrative offers. Cost effective ISRO has potential to snatch many such launches from Europe and American space agencies. In past ISRO has also launched a Civilian satteliite for Italian space agency, this shows athe level of confidence foreign space agencies have in launch capability of ISRO. We have definately mastered this technology and I wish satellite launch business becomes future "BPO" like business for India. http://www.isro.org/pressrelease/Jan21_2008.htm :two_thumbs_up:

This means that India has a great deal more strategic independence in foreign policy matters than it is credited with. Ten years ago the Arabs would have turned off the oil tap and Pakistan would have gone ape. Why did that not happen?? Interestingly, Indian Muslims have isssued neither threat nor oath denouncing India's good relations with Israel. Me thinks ISRO is deliberately keeping a low profile on this before and after the launch. That way they are not opening themselves to comments from Indian Muslims, Iran and other OPEC countries. Its fine. We have done business and we will be gaining from the intelligence-sharing.

BBC, is getting cynical as usual..terming this a "Sinister tie-up".....Any attempt of India to advance it's geo-political goals and westerners will be ready to slit our throats with baised reporting.... Why didn't these White Supremascists denounced themselves when European space agencies and US launched so many in past?? http://news.bbc.co.uk/2/hi/south_asia/7199736.stm

U can go ape in the matters which is beyond your reach.. Pakistan can't put an ISRO over-night hence the indifference... It's next to impossible for pakistan nation to compete with india in constructive things because that demands top-notch human capital and am sorry to say this doesn't happen over-night

Those days are behind, very next day mdia will flash how Israel comes to rescue when their beloved muslim nations attack India and then we have aggressive right-wing group to call their bluff over espousal of anti-india issues... Some might say because they have come of age but I don't buy that at all.. As far as Israel is concerned, there is nothing that demonstrates duplicity of Islamists than there position on Sudan. If there has been any genocide in recent decades, it has been in Sudan. While Islamist (example communist) howl about Israel killing some occasional one or two civilians in a mistargeted raids when its cities are being openly randomly targeted by terrorist governments, they are all but mum about 200,000 missing muslims, 2.5 million displaced muslims, and countless muslim women and muslim girls raped repeatedly by ARAB ISLAMISTS in Sudan Why are they silent about it?? Why do arab countries time and again prevent action against Sudan?? Why are they not howling just as when they did in case of Israel when a mis-targeted bomb attack killed civilians?? Why do they still have diplomatic relations with Sudan when they don't deal with Israel?? Why is Sudanes President invited to Turkey while Israeli PM will hardly be invited?? This is the elephant in the room, yet nobody talks about it. Why?? This brazen duplicity is in fact nature of Islam itself as Islamists has been practicing something called "Taqiyya" (duplicity) in the name of Islam right since the time of 7th century. The news below about Sudan exposes the duplicity of Sunni Ummah. And people say Turkey is a moderate "face" of Islam. Moderate my foot! http://www.nytimes.com/2008/01/22/world/africa/22darfur.html?_r=1&ref=world&oref=slogin ISTANBUL — President Omar al-Bashir of Sudan on Monday defended a government appointment for an Arab sheik accused of leading a militia that helped the government suppress a rebel movement in the Darfur region, leading to 200,000 deaths. On an official visit to Turkey, Mr. Bashir described the sheik, Musa Hilal, as a Sudanese citizen who is influential in Darfur and has “contributed greatly to stability and security in the region,” Reuters reported from Ankara, Turkey’s capital. “We in Sudan believe that those accusations against Mr. Hilal are untrue,” Turkey’s state-run Anatolian News Agency quoted Mr. Bashir as saying. “Right now in Darfur, the real murderers are those who are aided by Europe and others.” Mr. Musa is believed to be a leader of the janjaweed, Arab militia forces that have committed mass killings of civilians in Darfur. The conflict has also displaced 2.5 million people in less than five years. Mr. Bashir’s remarks are likely to cause further frustration for the United States and Europe, whose leaders have called on his government to stop attacks on civilians and who see Mr. Hilal as a central figure in the killing, even its architect. The United Nations, which began deploying peacekeeping forces in December after months of delays by the Sudanese government, is also likely to be irritated by the remarks. Mr. Bashir said the Darfur region was now largely peaceful, but Human Rights Watch, in a report over the weekend, said killings and rapes continued. The Sudanese government confirmed over the weekend that Mr. Hilal had been appointed to be a senior government adviser. The decision was criticized by Human Rights Watch, which called Mr. Hilal the “poster child” of the killings in Darfur. The United Nations has placed a travel ban on Mr. Hilal, for his suspected role in the killings. Turkey’s president, Abdullah Gul, said he had pressed Mr. Bashir to seek peace in Darfur, though the Bashir visit and state reception are not likely to please Turkey’s Western allies. Turkey, for its part, has taken the position that it is uniquely positioned between Europe and the Middle East and can be an effective international mediator with countries in the Middle East whose relations with the United States are troubled, like Syria and Iran. On occasion, the United States has disagreed. A visit to Turkey by a Hamas leader in 2006 drew a strong rebuke.

They may not be balanced but they are definitely not in error in highlighting Israel's terrible human rights record and near-enslavement of the palestinians. Just like how you condemn the actions of Islamists in Sudan ( i do too btw), the actions of Israel also deserve to be condemned.
