Victoria needed to win for an almost certain final berth and Queensland needed a win to stay in the race. This was Brad Hodge's 100th. one day match for Victoria. Jimmy Maher won the toss and batted. All out 214. Chris Simpson 42. Aaron Nye 39. Craig Phillipson 32. Bryce McGain 2/29. Clinton McKay 3/42. Victoria: 3/209 from 43 overs (revised total due to rain) for a 7 wicket win. As an all rounder, his bowling isn't considered good enough so James Hopes, Ashley Noffke and even Shane Watson are ahead of him in that queue. Add to that his breaking of a bone in his right foot, which kept him out for 8 weeks recently, hasn't helped his cause. Link to comment
