theguyinallblue Posted February 21, 2008 Posted February 21, 2008 It seems My C: drive is infected with some virus.. it has eaten all the free space available.. i have AVG Free Edition installed on my Machine.. it could not detect any virus ..AVG is up-to-date with its virus definitions.. then i installed QuickHeal 9.50 still it could not detect any virus.. could not install Kaspersky as it wanted AVG to be removed from the system.. thinking of Trying Norton also.. WHAT CAN BE THE PROBLEM? My C:Drives Free space keeps fluctuating from 200 MB to 0KB to 35 MB etc etc.. without me doing anything.. Help Needed Please..
talksport Posted February 21, 2008 Posted February 21, 2008 I doubt there is any virus... 200 MB is too low.... You need to have atleast 800MB - 1GB free space available for System Normal running these days. Delete your Temporary Internent Files from your Browser Empty your Recycle Bin Delete any large Video Files or some Music Files.....
theguyinallblue Posted February 21, 2008 Author Posted February 21, 2008 yaar..i deleted or removed some of the files..and at one time its free space was ~250 MB..then automatically it started to get reduced..and now it is at 98MB.. at times it shows 136MB some times 195MB.. there is surely a problem..what exactly...don't know..
apocalypse Posted February 21, 2008 Posted February 21, 2008 Install this http://www.ccleaner.com/ When you run it, first analyze and then clean It might delete your IE or FF history
