Mr. Wicket
http://cricketarchive.com/Archive/Scorecards/34/34736.html Two individual innings of note dominating two teams' innings. In the ROI reply to Karnataka, Bose and BS Bedi(!) alone reached double figures as Chandra and Prasanna plugged away and rolled through most of the ROI lineup. Gavaskar remained undefeated with a masterful 156 off 307. This was one-upped in the next innings by Gundappa Viswanath - who ended up slamming 200 not out in Karnataka's total of 314 - which came in just 84 overs (a startling run rate for the era)! Chandan
Getting to see all these scorecards from our yesteryears, I just keep on regretting the fact that I was unaware of the FC cricket in India then. Those were as exciting or even more than the test matches in those era. Plus getting to know how Gavaskar handled Prasanna and Chandra while Vishy handled Bedi would have been thrilling!!
