In general our airport infrastructure is pathetic to put it mildly.[/quote'] yea but airports inall the metros are being revamped now there was strike yesterday by AAI employeees at the old airport in these cities are being closed down . mumbais domestic airport after the revamp and privatisation is top notch much better than most other airports in other cities by far

cochise Posted March 13, 2008 Posted March 13, 2008 Delhi has gone nuts! I remember when Delhi was a sleepy old capital with wide boulevards and no traffic (not Old Delhi...that was always wild...). Now it is totally out of control. Just thinking of Delhi saps me of energy.

mhr123 Posted March 13, 2008 Author Posted March 13, 2008 What abt Mumbai Airport.... u can find a whole lot of nuts waiting to grab what comes their way... so I prefer Calcutta Airport because immigration is very fast and waiting time for luggage is okies. Till now i have never been bothered by any Airport authority at DAM DAM airport.

Predator_05 Posted March 13, 2008 Posted March 13, 2008 Hard to imagine Delhi not having any traffic. It's always been crowded as hell. But compared to other Indian cities, it's not so bad (present day). Mumbai, Kolkata, Chennai have greater # of people per square kilometre

Lutyens capital....very old school, very imperial...it was a different India...it's good that India has changed...but Delhi is now a bit over the top, I think. I hear the crime situation is bad too.
