I belive it was actually Sourav Ganguly who started the youth-craze.

I think all seniors wanted more youth but sadly none of them were ready to step down and make their own spot available

i guess ure a ganguly fan greg chappel had the right strategy but unfortunately india wasnt the right place to implement it our fans want to see new blood in the team but at the same time they also want to win all the games : thats the fault

both of the above can be achieved by gradual induction of talented youngsters into the team like ganguly did with zaheer, yuvraj, sehwag, bhajji etc in 2000 chappell should never have been made coach after his distastrous stint as coach of the south australian state team where he failed badly
