RJman Posted July 1, 2024 Posted July 1, 2024 Gulbadin did it vs. Bangladesh. But his team went on to win the match nevertheless. He was mocked, he was trolled, but whatever he did, he did it for his country. India were losing, India were dead and buried, and then Mastermind Pant slows down the game with a strategic game-changing, match-changing, World Cup-winning masterstroke of a strategic break! Pant's quick thinking during the crucial moments of the match against South Africa turned the tide in India's favor. With India struggling to defend their target againt marauding Klaasen and Miller, Pant's decision to take a break allowed the team to regroup and strategize effectively. This break was not just a pause in the game; it was a moment to breathe, recalibrate, and focus on the plan to execute the defense successfully. When play resumed, Klaasen and Miller, who had been in a rhythm, seemed visibly disturbed by the break. Their focus and momentum were disrupted, leading to a loss of concentration that was immediately exploited by the Indian bowlers. Hardik takes out Klaasen with a wide delivery, Bumrah snipes a defending Jansen and chokes Maharaj, and Arshdeep bowls the over of his life. India go on to Win the World cup and everyone celebrates. Pant may have flopped with the bat. But his contribution with the strategic break should be remembered. I ma personally going to bump up this thread whenever there is a masterstroke strategy break in the future...lol
