Blasts are in Rawalpindi..Near Army house and near airport.. No news of any causality though..yet.. some serious damage to the prospects of CT being held in Pakistan.. i think indian team is safe..as they are playing in Karachi or Lahore.. and since pakistan is already out of the tournament....PCB can reduce the number of spectators further... to bolster the security in and around the stadium.... in any case..Gate Maoney hardly contribute to the profits...it just add to the atmosphere... we can do without the atmosphere...for security of players..

There is a power-struggle going on in Pakistan between Zardaari backed government and Paki army. So far, Paki army has been in dictating terms, can overthrow an elected government at will any time. Zardaari realizes this fully well, knows that there is nothing like elected government in land of pure, if Army continues to interfere. Also he being one of the best corrupt politician Pakiland can produce, is trying his level best to reduce army influence in civilian politics. Result is, he needs support from Allah+America+Army (factions against Mush+Kiyani group). and thus Zardaari is talking all sweet and sexy when he appears on television. Remmeber his sweet talking for India and musings about Kashmir. He is a snake and India needs to be on guard. I feel for Musharraf, sooner or later he is going to be hanged or will be assassinated like so many past leaders of Pakiland, if he delays his inevitable exile to USA. As pakis themselves proclaim prodly, Pakistan ka matlab kyaa -- la ilaah illalla!.:giggle:

sandtest... i think the word "paki" is a racial slurr... please refrain from it. as for the subject matter, i think our team is quite safe. power struggle or not, indian players have always enjoyed considerable hospitality at the hands of pakistanis and there is no reason to believe that they would be targets of a war in which they do not play any part. infact, last i heard, they were at some vacation/recreatiuon resot having a ball!

turns out , it was only a blast ,no bomb! Blast but "no bomb" in Pakistani cities Mon Jun 30, 2008 7:22am BST ISLAMABAD (Reuters) - A loud blast alarmed residents and security officials in the Pakistani capital, Islamabad, and nearby city of Rawalpindi on Monday but police later said it appeared it had been a sonic boom. Residents of both cities heard a big blast just before 11 a.m. (6 a.m. British time). "We have checked everywhere in Rawalpindi, all the main areas and hospitals, but there is nothing," a senior city police official said about 45 minutes after the blast was heard. "It could have been a sonic boom but we are still investigating." A Pakistani air force spokesmen said none of their aircraft had been over the city at the time of the blast. A military official said there had been no bomb at any of the main military installations in Rawalpindi, the headquarters of the Pakistani army and the home of President Pervez Musharraf. Militants have launched several bomb attacks in both Rawalpindi and Islamabad over the past year. The Taliban militant commander held responsible for most of the attacks threatened on the weekend to retaliate for a government offensive against militants in a northwestern region on the Afghan border. so after nearly 24hrs NO ONE still knows WTF happened ? I guess the army carried out some tests but is not willing to accept that. Do u know Pak is the only country to test missiles over the populated areas , maybe the missiles come with a guarantee card from china :D
