Congress govt's award for RSS organization oke but BJP govt's award not oke

The oldest national party has itself felicitated the Delhi-based organisation at the hands of Chief Minister Sheila Dikshit for improving the lot of street children and also doing a commendable job in slums in 2004. The MP Government had on Sunday announced its decision to give its biggest national award, which carries a cash prize of Rs 10 lakh, to the voluntary organisation “for working according to Mahatma Gandhi’s philosophy”. But the mere association of Gandhi and RSS saw PCC president Suresh Pachauri and campaign committee chairman Rahul Singh slam the award and call it an insult to the father of the “It’s a big joke on Gandhian philosophy,” Singh said. “Giving the award to an NGO affiliated with the RSS is an insult to Gandhiji,” Pachauri told The Indian Express. When reminded that his own party had feted the NGO, Pachauri said he was not aware of it. HE should be reminded Nehru too felicitated RSS.. And Digvijay Singh too should be shown these and asked why does congress felicitates a terrorist organization according to him.. One can understand may be you don't have cajones to take them to court but what compulsion was there to award them if they are anti-national terrorist organization.. Either come clean or shut your pie-hole and stop spewing garbage in order to defend SIMI.. Incidentally, the organisation has also received the prestigious Dr Durgabai Deshmukh Award given by the Central Social Welfare Board in 2001, when the NDA was in power. The award given for exemplary work in the field of women’s development carries a prize of Rs 5 lakh. The NGO’s general secretary Rishipal Dadwal said the organisation was active in Delhi’s slums for a long time and had done sufficient work to become eligible for the award. “When the Congress party has felicitated us in Delhi, the criticism in Madhya Pradesh is not justified.” He said the organisation believed in Gandhian thought, which laid stress on self-reliance. According to him, more than 2,500 volunteers are active in the national capital alone. Ironically, the Congress has found an ally in Bhopal-based Seva Bharti, which has taken offence to the state Government’s decision to ignore the local unit at the cost of an organisation “which gets several awards”.

RSS doesnot need Congress or even BJPs certificate to prove herself and her credentials as self-less organization. They don't have an iota of political intentions behind the social work they do for downtrodden of India. When our political leaders are busy giving high sounding speeches, Swyamsevaks are silently working day and night for those stuck in cyclone, flood and tribal folks who have no access to education and facilities. When Gandhi dynasty of Indian politics was busy pandering Casteim and Caste based reservation for vote bank, RSS already had deserving people in their shakhas at higher ranks who actually belonged to very low caste. We, use to touch the feet of a "Shinde" (supposed to be a so called lower caste) Maharashtrian Shakha head with respect when we were teens. RSS actually practiced equality without any show or pomp, when India's p-secs were busy pandering caste based reservation to prove themselves that they are the only Messiahs of so called lower castes of India.

Precisely; I have never been member of BJP so can't vouch for them but have been in RSS for better part of my post-teen-age years. Can vouch for one thing there is not a single negative bone in any RSS centres.. Other than Rashtra-Nirman they talk nothing......Not even once I heard vilification of any religion in those camps.... There is no discrimination based on caste or creed whatsoever ( our shakha head and guru was a fisherman by caste and we used to touch his feet every morning). ....All they do is inculcate sense of discipline and social responsibility; make you think about others in this self-centred world.. Any calamity and you can be rest assured while govt machinerywoould still be tying on its shoes RSS workers wud be already providing aids
