The big three American car manufactures- Ford,GMC and Chrysler feel would collapse imminently unless US stepped in with a bailout worth $34 billion.They had already received loan guarantees worth $25 billion in September. The House of Representatives passed the bailout package but it collapsed in the Senate when the Republicans blocked the deal, preventing the required 60 votes.

Their last lifeline is on Jan 6th when the New Congress will review the situation.If this bailout collapses, the shock waves throughout the global economy would be devastating:((
