Who gained from terrorism in Mumbai? There is only one winner: the Pakistan Army. The disgrace into which it had been dragged by Pervez Musharraf has been erased; it is wrapped once again in the blanket of confrontation with India. Zardari's amateur attempts at a peace deal with India are dead, a prelude perhaps to his own decline. He will no longer attempt to encroach into ISI space. Pakistan's generals are proving to be excellent tacticians. They have manoeuvered impressively through the terror-crisis to emerge with the local Taliban on one arm, and the Pentagon on the other.
suraj Posted December 31, 2008 Posted December 31, 2008 Yup - in the words of Kabolee nothing unites Pakis except for hysteria against India. As moral people however we need to hear their voices and acknowledge that the chosen people have spoken so lets roll over- hand Kashmir to Pakistan and declare India an Islamic state. What better way to prove that we support the minority

What better way to prove that we support the minority For clarification, that statement was neither meant to be all-encompassing nor do I believe that the phenomenon is exclusive to Pakistan (as I explained). Also, I was very careful to phrase it in the manner that I did. Your paraphrasing skips over the nuance.
Guest dada_rocks Posted January 2, 2009 Posted January 2, 2009 BTW Kabolee one of the PP minister other day was ruing about the same thing.. that is how everytime political leaders improve relationship somethign happens and it ends up souringrelationship.. He was talking about how it happened in Kargil in 99 and now this.. It always happens when Pakistan army finds itself maligned in public's eye and feels subservient to [olitical leader the way it should be..
