Mr. Wicket
Damn. What's with the wagging tails all around the world ? :hmmm: White's not a tailender. He's a solid bat. And when Symonds and Hopes are your frontline bowlers, I can't imagine why tailenders wouldn't be fancying their odds for a few runs. Link to comment
Donny
Clinton McKay is a tailender but averaged 31.37 for the season. Batted #10 here because Nannes was used as a nightwatchman. Q'land: 0/22. Link to comment
Mr. Wicket
The QLD batting lineup definitely looks a lot weaker than Vic's here. Either Watson or Love really needs to produce a massive knock if they're going to make parity. Link to comment
Donny
Batting practice for the Bulls. Martin Love's 10,000 runs is about the only point of interest. He needs 3 more. At lunch: 0/30. Broad 20* Love 10* Link to comment
Donny
A good boundary stroke from Love brings up his 10,000th. run in Sheffield Shield/Pura Cup. Overall, in first class, he has over 16,800 runs. His other matches were for Australia (5 Tests), Australia A, Durhan in County Cricket and against touring teams for Queensland. Link to comment
Donny
Broad out to Stickers Harwood for 27. 1/66. Love 37*. Link to comment

Mr. Wicket
110/4 Watson caught behind for 13, Carseldine bowled for 12 an over later. Symonds and Hartley in, and if Chris Hartley is batting at 6 then that's one hell of a long tail. Link to comment
Mr. Wicket
113/5 Symonds bowled now. Link to comment
Donny
Hopes was down to bat at 6 but is probably a bit sore from his bowling stint. Symmo gorrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrnnnn McKay has 2/13. Q: 5/117. Hopes in. Link to comment

Chandan
Wow!! This match is turning into something interesting. Can the Vics pluck an outright victory out of nowhere? What happens in case of a draw? It seems that Vics are already the Shield winners this year and that too after the absence of their star players, Siddle and McGain. You must be happy as a Vics fan, Donny? Link to comment
Donny
Certainly am, mate. Not only are they thumping Queensland in this final but are the only team in the history of the comp. to have not conceded a single point to opposition teams, throughout the season. Wickets to White and Nannes see the Bulls at 9/194. Link to comment
Donny
Wow!! This match is turning into something interesting. Can the Vics pluck an outright victory out of nowhere? What happens in case of a draw? Because Victoria finished on top after the 10 qualiying matches, it earned a home final. For the visitors to take the Shield, they must win outright. A draw means the minor premiers become the Shield winners. Nannes takes the last wicket. All out 200. Link to comment
