Parth, try using the browsing to the following location and see if you find the .theme files C:\Windows\Resources\Themes folder. I dont have vista so cant verify but give the above a try. If you dont see any Theme files , then you can try restoring your computer to an earlier date :stewie:

Either your theme files got corrupted or themes is disabled. I dont have Vista, so dont know much about the system. Google the error you get. When in doubt, Google . I found this for enabling the theme service: "Go into taskmanager then services. Look for one named Themes, if its deactivated, activate it. That was my problem and i think i got the same error." http://forums.techguy.org/windows-vista-7/650892-solved-vista-aero-theme-not.html

Ok i did what you said and the vista theme is now in the themes, i select it and it says: http://img261.imageshack.us/img261/7668/vistathemehelp.jpg what should i do
according to the error, "your theme service is not running", which means you need to start it-> You need to be a administrator, 1) Go to control panel->administrative tools->services 3) find the theme service 4) double click/right click for properties 5) click start , also make it automatic 6) find the desktop window manager session manager service 7) do steps (4)-(5) 8) done, try changing your theme now.
