Those are all fake hyderabadis who come from smaller towns and claim to be hyderabadis. 40% of hyderabadis are muslims so thats a lot of urdu speakers and then there are old timers like my grand father who speak and write perfect urdu, in that sense sure its decreasing but surely not dying as long as the muslims are there.

Urdu is an official language in AP.
:two_thumbs_up: Urdu is used heavily in Hyderabad and Nizamabad, and close-by Nizam areas. It is by no means dying.
