lonestarranger
The scorecard read : End of over 32 (1 run) India 81/7 (RR: 2.53) P Kumar 4* (9b 1x4) NM Hauritz 8-2-14-0 RA Jadeja 25* (61b 2x4) DE Bollinger 6-4-11-4 32.1 Bollinger to Jadeja, no run, back of a length, outside off, Jadeja plays a nothing waft, and is beaten 32.2 Bollinger to Jadeja, no run, fuller ball, off-stump line, pushed to cover 32.3 Bollinger to Jadeja, no run, another waft, another nothing shot outside off, and beaten again, this was even closer to the edge 32.4 Bollinger to Jadeja, no run, and again, this one was even wider, no feet movement, and Jadeja survives another suicide attempt 32.5 Bollinger to Jadeja, no run, this time he is beaten off the front foot, just outside off, just short of driving length, holds its line, and misses the edge 32.6 Bollinger to Jadeja, FOUR, finally he gets the edge, but this is played with soft hands, and wide of first slip at any rate, four lucky runs Jadeja might have been the guy who top scored in the Indian innings, but one had to have watched the action to really know who was dictating terms then. Either Jadeja was so pathetic or Dougie Bollinger really did have a field day. It was kind-of unfair that he went for a tonk in the last ball of the over. It looked like he'd end Jadeja's misery (at the crease) with every passing ball! I was kind of miffed at Jadeja's skills after that very over. He made up for it in the end by top-scoring. did fellow ICFers also feel the same way? Link to comment
Zap_Brannigan
If it happens once or even a handful of times, you can blame pitch, the condition or the bowler, but this seems to happen most of the time he comes in to bat. It only means he is not good enough at this level. Link to comment
bharat297
Agreed. As a bowler and fielder he looks pretty good. As a batsman pretty poor. I view him as potentially a full-time bowler who can bat a bit, rather than an all-rounder Link to comment

But I'm afraid that doesn't bode well for Team India :nervous: Link to comment
saneindian
Give the guy a break. He is 10 matches old in his India career and in 8 out of those 10 matches, has bowled very decently helping the bowling unit restrict the opposition to a decent total. Thats good enough for a 20 yr old who is still developing as a cricketer. There is definite potential there and that needs a lot of backing. You can't bash him for the failure/devil may care attitude of the top order. Link to comment
bharat297
This is a point I have made before but I'll say it again. International Cricket is not the place where we should take a youngster and just "let him develop". Let him do that at domestic level. Once he is developed there, he can come to International level Link to comment
