?BCCI serious about giving opportunities to youngsters? ENS Posted online: Friday, May 11, 2007 at 0000 hours IST LUCKNOW, MAY 10 : Niranjan Shah, who was in the state capital on Thursday as guest during the closing function of 55th Sahara City Homes Sheesh Mahal Cricket Tournament, gave ample indications that the BCCI was serious about giving opportunities to potential youngsters. Talking to mediapersons, Shah said that a pool of 22 promising players has been identified by the BCCI so that they could be given a chance in the future. "All the youngsters cannot be a part of the India team for the Bangladesh tour. The team has a good amount of young talent as well and others too would be given a chance in the near future," he said. Regarding reports of "groupism" in Team India, he said that this was not true. "In any group, having differences of opinion is quite normal, but such little things have no impact on the performance of the team. There is no groupism in the team." Shah informed that the contracts issue would be resolved after the return of the players from Bangladesh, while as far as the matter of selecting a coach for Team India is concerned, no decision has been taken as yet. " A committee has been formed to select a coach. The option of a foreign coach has been kept open. It is for the committee to decide."
