yoda Posted October 11, 2010 Posted October 11, 2010 I honestly believe that most people are genuinely good, but sometimes they think something is "fun" and get sucked into it by a few rotten apples.

Desi Cartman Posted December 9, 2010 Posted December 9, 2010 Nitin Garg 'stabbed to death for mobile phone poor kid died over a stupid ****ing phone. A teenage boy who witnessed the stabbing death of Indian accountancy graduate Nitin Garg in Melbourne's west has faced court. The 16-year-old, who cannot be named for legal reasons, appeared in a children's court charged with being an accessory to the murder of Mr Garg, 21, in Cruickshank Park on January 2 this year. The court heard Mr Garg was on his way to work at a nearby Hungry Jack's outlet when the two boys, both aged 15 at the time, noticed him walking past while speaking on his mobile phone. Advertisement: Story continues below The prosecution said the accused said to his friend "that bloke's phone looks nice", which prompted him to allegedly approach Mr Garg with a knife and stab him in the abdomen. Police interviewed the boy on January 19 but he made no mention of the deadly stabbing. During another interview on April 26, he changed his story, telling police he and his co-accused were in the Yarraville park on the night of the stabbing. Phone records showed Mr Garg tried to ring triple-0 for help immediately after he was stabbed but the accused yelled at him to "drop the phone" because he was scared he was calling the police. In April, the boy told a friend's father "he was going to tell him something he had never told anyone before" and admitted to being present during Mr Garg's stabbing. The court heard that the man contacted police with the information. The boy then agreed to wear a listening device to record a conversation with his co-accused in which the alleged murderer incriminated himself. The prosecution described the boy's cooperation as significant and said that a non-custodial sentence was an option for the court. The boy is expected to be sentenced later today. The hearing continues. Link At least one of them felt guilty and realized what he had done. Cant bring a life back but at least he confessed.
hari504504 Posted December 11, 2010 Posted December 11, 2010 how strong are the 'self-defense' laws in australia ??( Is it as good as the US/Canada)... or would you be charged if you kill someone when you are mortally threatened ? Not so long ago..the indian students had ganged up and armed themselves with baseball bats and started 'shift patrols' through all the dodgy parks and carparking areas..it was stopped only after the police strongly intervened who were afraid of a repeat of the Cronulla Sydney riots involving the Lebanese..
