Shane Posted January 6, 2010 Author Posted January 6, 2010 I thought about opening a thread on this, but figured not many here would be interested in the Indian auto show. The biggest deal yesterday was GM announcing that the Chevy Beat is going to start from 3.3 lacs ex showroom :omg: That is really going to take the fight to Maruti. Another big launch yesterday was the Tata Aria. If priced properly, it can take away a good chunk of the huge innova market. I was waiting for honda to refresh the accord, and improve the interiors. But looks like they are fine getting thrown out of the market by the superb. :cantstop: I knew this thread would lure you into posting again @ ICF :winky: TBH Never been much of a hatchback fan, out of these, Polo probably is better, when it comes to looks. Have read that most of the above hatchbacks should be priced around 4.75 onwards. The Toyota's have been really disappointing this year. So howz the Superb, thats one awesome baby, my friend! Btw, what do you think about the Cruze, never liked anything from GM, but this one really looks the part, the fuel efficiency is good. Cons, I guess should be the Turbo Lag! Never knew what it meant, before I googled, is it much of a problem? Just heard they are launching an AT on the 8th of this month. :D

IIRC the captiva has the same engine as the cruze. From what I make of the cruze, I am not impressed much because the rear legroom is abysmal. A manza has more legroom at the back:giggle: I find the civic to be a much better car overall. The biggest thing that the cruze has going for it is the fact that it is a diesel and that it is priced under many other cars of the C+ segment. You have to remember that the chevy brand in India actually stands for the korean Daewoo, and not the american chevy. GM has used the chevy brand image very well here. The superb is just.. superb. Have you driven the TSI ? Put it in sport mode, and it runs like nothing I've driven before. I thought the civic was an enthusiasts car.. (atleast in india).. but after driving this the civic feels slow. When the turbo kicks in, you are just propelled forward.. like how an airplane takes off.
